From the moment you walk in you're greeted by a warm atmosphere that is styled exactly like a mansion from the Old South. The southern charm of this place is also reflected in the staff, all of whom are very friendly, helpful, and kind. We stayed in the Mercer bedroom, and we found that the electronics had been modernized without compromising the old-style feel of this place. Plus, not only is the breakfast really good with several options, but they give you the option of eating in your room, in the courtyard/garden area, or in the parlors.March 09, 2017

The staff is always very welcoming treats us like family. I would not hesitate to recommend the 1842 inn to anyone who would to visit, either overnight or for a gathering.January 09, 2017
